T he last year has been full of successes and a brighter vision for our future — a true year of value for our united Fairmont Family. We are proud and honored that everyone at Fairmont, including our students, teachers, parents, the Fairmont Parent Association, administrators, custodians, nutrition management, and our security staff, continue to bring their best selves to our campuses every day. Everywhere we go, others tell us about how remarkable our students are. Whether it is in Virginia and D.C., where bus drivers, guides, and a long-time Thomas Jefferson character actor shared with us that our students are unparalleled; or our sportsmanlike conduct on the basketball court, where our Fairmont Prep Academy varsity teams are currently ranked 3rd and 8th place for all of Orange County, our students continue the Fairmont tradition and demonstrate that they are prepared for life's adventures, hard work, and great fulfillment. Fairmont's strength is our three generations of family educators. For over 60 years, we've committed wholeheartedly to the power of education and collaboration to stretch students to new heights of curiosity and intellect. This year we continued to see the results of a Fairmont foundation as we followed our students with their education and into future endeavors. We are excited to celebrate our first year of Chad Jackson's presidency and to remain ever faithful to the Fairmont family tradition. Fairmont's strength is our family of teachers. We've continued our mission to hire and retain the most dedicated teachers and employees and to make sure that they are equipped with the latest innovative classroom strategies and resources for continuous self-development. As you know, many teachers at Fairmont are alumni, parent-daughter/son teams, or are parents of students at Fairmont. We are one big family! Fairmont's strength is its students. We are so grateful for the academic, athletic, and authentic contributions each of our students brought to Fairmont in 2019. We look forward to many more years and celebrations as our students shape their futures, and the world around them. With Gratitude, David R. Jackson CEO Chad Jackson President
