Engineering Magnet Advanced Math For those students interested in the fields of engineering and physical sciences, Fairmonts Engineering Magnet program offers a hands-on, project-based curriculum supplemented by internships (including Boeing), field trips, and guest speakers to give students an appreciation and a comprehensive understanding of engineering. Fairmont has repeatedly been recognized by the College Board and the Siemens Corporation for having one of the top math programs in California. Fairmonts math program rivals those of top math and science schools across the country and allows students to take college level math courses rarely offered in high school. Through our partnership with California State University at Fullerton, students can earn direct university credit for most of our advanced math courses, giving them the opportunity to receive up to 22 units of university math credit by the time they graduate. Through our partnerships with California State University, Fullerton and the University of Arizona, students can take up to seven university courses in math and engineering, earning up to 25 semester units on university transcripts by completing the Engineering Magnet curriculum.
