Fairmont is committed to preparing junior high students for success in high school
through our programs in academics, leadership, and character building.
Direct Entry students at the junior high level (grades 6-8) complete
rigorous coursework including English, Literature, Mathematics, Science,
Social Science, Foreign Language, and Physical Education. Students also
participate in two electives per year and can choose from Art, Computers,
Robotics, Instrumental Music, PantherCam, and Drama. After school
activities, such as speech and debate, sports, and yearbook are also
available. Additionally, all students are expected to participate in community
service work and accrue 18 hours of service before promotion.
