naThaly baSTO Ca m aRgO (Class of 2013) nathaly basto Camargo appreciates yale university for its dynamic learning community, which fuels students' passions to initiate positive change in society. During her sophomore year, nathaly is exploring the world of cognitive science, the interdisciplinary study of the mind. her main emphasis in this field is on the cerebral side of learning. nathaly's curiosity in how teaching and learning affects the brain has led her to become a research assistant. in the Social Perception and interactions Research lab in the yale Child Study Center, she helps conduct research relating to non-verbal social interactions. The purpose is to find which behavioral patterns correlate with good learning outcomes. When not immersed in her studies, nathaly serves as vice President of Outreach for the undergraduate organization yale Friends of israel. nakul m akk aD (Class of 2013) Performing in a South asian Dance group before a sold-out audience at the kennedy Center and being on a champion men's rowing team are a few of the many adventures nakul makkad is experiencing at georgetown university. Fairmont Prep academy prepared him well for maintaining a heavy academic schedule while taking advantage of a vast array of extracurricular activities. nakul finds georgetown university, Walsh School of Foreign Service a perfect setting for pursuing his interest in social science. his math and science coursework at Fairmont Prep, as well as an internship at boeing, provided a strong foundation for undertaking his major in international economics. his passion is international economic development. One day, he would like to create policies and manage projects for helping developing nations become self-sustainable and valuable members of the global community. For Fairmont Private Schools' President David Jackson, keeping in contact with alumni is a priority and one of the most rewarding parts of his job. in 2014, mr. As I look around at my senior counterparts in other schools, I truly feel privileged and honored to have had the opportunity to take extraordinary classes with exceptional teacher emphasis and immerse myself in meaningful extracurricular activities. From the Historic Anaheim Preschool Campus to the Historic Anaheim Campus to the Preparatory Academy, Fairmont has shaped who I am as I enter the palpable world as a young man."
