GURVEER SinGH STREngTh OF minD, ChaRaCTER anD SPiRiT Whether he is engaging in a debate or entering a project for a science fair, historic anaheim Campus eighth grade graduate gurveer Singh embodies the qualities of a truly cultivated and honorable individual. his natural leadership abilities have been evident since the first grade. his playful spirit and humorous nature are contagious among teachers and students alike. a formidable force behind the podium, gurveer has received both national and regional awards in the arena of debate competition. his achievements include being a golden gavel Winner in the Orange County Debate league, Tenth Place Speaker at Parliamentary nationals, and nineteenth Place Speaker in the category of Public Forum at the national Junior Forensic league. gurveer has also been honored to speak at the 50th anniversary of the historic march on Washington D.C. and a commemoration ceremony following the tragic Sikh shooting in Wisconsin. gurveer's science project "The analysis of Pollution using underwater acoustic networks" earned first place at the Orange County Science Fair in the category of Fluids/aerodynamics/ Thermodynamics. his leadership roles at the historic anaheim Campus included Representative of the Sikh faith at the interfaith youth Council of Orange County (iyCOC) and aSb President in eighth grade. Currently, he is the Freshman Class vice President at Fairmont Prep. ElliE GibbS a big hEaRT TO ChangE ThE WORlD Teachers and students appreciate Ellie gibbs for her enthusiasm, kindness, and passion for learning. She takes the time to envision herself in the place of others to fully understand and improve their lives, as well as protect the planet. Ellie devotes her whole heart into the effort with confidence, resilience, and vision. For example, Ellie founded "green is the new black" recycling club this year at Fairmont Prep, which is an extension of the junior high recycling club she founded at the anaheim hills Campus. The anaheim hills Campus provided an ideal environment for Ellie to flourish as a leader, scholar, and artist. Ellie received the distinction of being a golden gavel Winner in the Orange County Debate league. She also won several awards in the national Junior Forensic league and national Speech and Debate association. She served as Eighth grade aSb President and participated in model un. her high marks in academics earned recognition in the honor Roll and Director's honor Roll, as well as membership in the husky Elite. She was also selected to participate in the national young leaders State Conference. On the creative side, Ellie enjoys theater, playing the piano, and creative writing. in the eighth grade, she played a major role in the theater production of "greaseD."
