The campus received a glowing report from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), resulting in a five-year reaccreditation—the longest term allowed, while a flawless preschool licensing visit not only validated the exceptional care and education provided to our youngest learners but also paved the way for the addition of another preschool class. Anaheim Hills students took the STEM scene by storm in 2023-24. They earned major accolades at the National Thermo Fisher Junior Innovators Challenge, including capturing the Department of Defense STEM Talent Award. On the local front, they dominated the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair, collecting 19 awards and securing six first-place spots. Four students then carried that success to the state level, where they continued to impress at the California Science and Engineering Fair. Excellence extended outside the classroom onto the court last year. The middle school girls basketball team made history with an undefeated season, claiming the school's first-ever league championship for girls in the sport. The voices of our Cougars were heard across a broad spectrum of venues, from singing the National Anthem at a Los Angeles Angels game to our resident "Super Bowl Kid Reporter" interviewing the likes of Kansas City Chief's quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and from fielding four Distinguished Teams at the Modified Parliamentary Debate National Championship to seeing one student rise to the top at ISP's Model UN competition as a Top Delegate. Add to all these things that Melanie Vogel (PK-8 art) and Susanna DeLeon (MS Spanish) were named among the Top 25 Teachers in Orange County, and 2023-24 was a banner year for Fairmont Anaheim Hills.
