Twice-a-year standardized testing continued in 2023-24,
beginning with fall's benchmark assessments. These tests
set the stage for the year, ensuring students were properly
placed in their classes and teachers were armed with the
information they needed to personalize their instruction and
maximize their success.
Students once again benefited from
exceptional language support and more
options to help them develop English
language proficiency.
At the elementary level, international learners were assisted
through a specialized pull-out program. Middle and high
schoolers reaped the rewards of focused English instruction
and thrived in "adapted classes" that are uniquely tailored to
language learners.
Fairmont is globally recognized as an
academic powerhouse. But our reputation
for athletics and extracurriculars has also
garnered attention abroad. Increasingly,
international students are taking advantage
of these opportunities outside the
classroom and thriving in a well-rounded
American educational experience.
