By 1993, Fairmont had four decades of experience in P-8 education and it was time to harness that knowledge in a high school setting. "Fairmont High School" (now Fairmont Preparatory Academy) opened with an inaugural freshman class of 45 students in a newly-constructed building on the Historic Anaheim Campus. The following year, the school moved to its current location on the Philip A. Stanton Estate on Sequoia Avenue — just a few miles away from the home where Mr. Holt started his summer program. Each year, another grade level was added, necessitating the purchase of additional parcels of land along the way. Today, students from all over the world come to "the Prep" for its renowned academics (including exceptional specialty programs), athletics and arts programs, and highly personalized college counseling. Fairmont's impact expanded in 1998 when it acquired Edgewood Private School in North Tustin. The immediate success at North Tustin demonstrated, once again, that a Fairmont education was more than a "hometown" phenomenon, and that children from all across Orange County could benefit from a school that puts students first, promotes a culture of high expectations, and employs exceptional teachers. That student-centered focus continues today at North Tustin, where a personalized approach to academic and social-emotional learning provides a rich, comprehensive education to students in Pre-K through 8th grade. Mr. Jackson had a longstanding dream of bringing Fairmont's now-famous P-12 college preparatory education to South Orange County families. Working in concert with his son Chad — who stepped into a leadership role as Fairmont's president in 2018 — Mr. Jackson saw his dream realized in 2020, with the purchase of a campus in San Juan Capistrano. The campus has the distinction of being one of only a handful of private schools in Orange County to provide the full continuum of grades (P-12) on one campus. From preschoolers who are just beginning their educational journey to high schoolers who are preparing for college, Fairmont San Juan Capistrano meets students where they are and helps them reach their highest potential.
