A perennial academic powerhouse, Historic Anaheim extended its winning streak in the Orange County Academic Pentathlon to 28 consecutive years. And if that's not impressive enough, our pentathletes took first place at the national level! Awards and accolades abounded for the Panthers – from the O.C. Spelling Bee (3rd place) to the AMC8 math competition (one student scoring in the top 1% in the nation); from the California State Science Fair (2nd place in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology) to the AACC Clinical Chemistry Award. HAC students took full advantage of the return to athletics in 2021-22, winning four league championships. Nationally-ranked scholar-athletes also shined off-campus in fencing, dancing, skating, golf, running, and hockey. Our Panthers proved they are not only brainy and talented; they are thoughtful and caring young people. They also planned and took part in several meaningful service activities, including the "Socktober" fundraiser which supported LIMBS International, a Thanksgiving meal drive that made the holiday special for families in need, and sharing messages of hope and joy through a partnership with Cards for Hospitalized Kids. A big shout- out goes to Activities and Student Services Director Karen Saturday, who helped coordinate these outreach efforts. For this reason – and many more – Ms. Saturday was named one of Orange County's "School Heroes" by Parenting OC. #1 SCHOOL IN NATION United States Academic Pentathlon TOP 1% IN NATION Student Shines at AMCB Math Competition IB WORLD SCHOOL PYP Programme Launches
