ATHLETICS After the "time out" called by the pandemic, athletes made their way back to the fields, courts, tracks, and golf courses, and they did so with purpose and drive. The Prep captured WAC League titles for girls volleyball, boys basketball, boys volleyball, and boys soccer. Several teams went deep in CIF playoffs: boys golf - team championship runners-up, boys soccer and volleyball - semi-finals, and girls volleyball and basketball - quarter-finals. Our Huskies fielded multiple League Players of the Year and All-CIF athletes, while three individual athletes made it to the CIF championships for cross country, track & field, and girls golf. A t Fairmont SJC, the Athletic Academy experienced a 250% growth in enrollment. Two new sports — basketball and baseball — were added, while the existing flagship programs for hockey and soccer grew considerably, as did their athletes' successes. Strength, speed, and agility training, alongside rehab and recovery, continued to be a significant differentiator in 2021-22, with all academy athletes benefiting from the science and technology offered on campus through The Treigning Lab.
