Students continued to excel academically and made their campus proud by raking in prestigious awards and recognition at the local, state, and national levels — multiple students placed at the OC Science and Engineering Fair (including first place in the Botany category), a first-place finish and a special commendation for Alternative Energy at the California Science and Engineering Fair, six Broadcom Master (national) qualifiers, and two OC Spelling Bee finalists. Middle school science teacher Joshua Riturban received some recognition of his own when Parenting OC honored him as one of Orange County's Top 25 Teachers of 2022. In addition to the great things that happened with our students and faculty during the 2021-22 school year, there was also an extremely exciting development with the school's property. After several years of discussions and due diligence, Fairmont purchased the church property adjacent to the campus, almost doubling the amount of space at North Tustin and opening up the doors to several wonderful enhancements. Great things are in store for our Eagles!
