AP SCHOLARS WITH HONORS 3.25 on all AP Exams, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams 25 AP SCHOLARS 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams 31 TOTAL AP SCHOLARS 105 100% From designing a 3D face shield template to publishing research articles and books; from taking top honors in a cello concert to starting their own businesses — Prep students continued to showcase their intellect and talents in 2020-21. While COVID put a damper on certain parts of student life (particularly athletics and the arts), our Huskies maximized as many opportunities as they could in the pandemic environment. 2020-21 saw an impressive list of STEM honors and awards for Prep students. Chief among them was a project that focused on developing a potential mechanism for a new pancreatic cancer treatment, for which team members won the western regional championship in the 29th annual ExploraVision competition. The Prep was also recognized for helping to close the gender gap in STEM education, earning College Board's Female AP Computer Science Diversity Award. The Speech and Debate team continued to perform at the highest echelons, and finished the 2020-21 season ranked #1 in the state and #12 in the country. All told, they competed in 21 tournaments this year (taking home four championships), completed 441 rounds of competition, and gave a staggering 1,764 speeches. The Class of 2021 continued the Prep's tradition of gaining acceptance to the nation's "Top 100" colleges at an exceptionally high rate (97%), including Stanford University, University of Chicago, Columbia University, Vanderbilt University, and Johns Hopkins University, to name a few. Listen to what some of our graduates had to say about their time at the Prep. PREPARATORY ACADEMY
