This year, Fairmont had "Roomers" — students who are
learning in the classroom and "Zoomers" — those who
are at home. We are impressed by the extraordinary
lengths our teachers, administrators, and staff went to
in order to meet the needs of our students, regardless
of where they were learning from.

IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION
More than a few things changed for our in-person learners in the age
of COVID. Mornings started by completing an online health survey
and, upon arrival at school, students were immediately greeted by
temperature checks. Face coverings became the newest must-have
school uniform item. There were hand sanitizer containers as far as
the eye could see. In class, students had at least two full yardsticks
between them and their closest neighbor. And the hallways and
floors were brimming with colorful signage, reminding us all to
physically distance, even as we maintained our spirit of
collaboration, mutual support, and teamwork.
Fairmont's students proved they were quick studies when it came to
mastering our new health and safety routines.
