There were so many challenges to
overcome this year—from travel
restrictions related to COVID to
social unrest to political change
and uncertainty—but I'm proud
of how Fairmont stayed focused
on supporting our international
students, pivoting as needed to
meet their needs.

Students who remained in the U.S. during the pandemic had to contend with COVID's trying
circumstances — all while being apart from their own families. Our hats go off to Fairmont's homestay
community and our housing team, both of which went to great lengths to bridge the gap and attend to
the social-emotional needs of the students in their care.
