The IFC staff will arrange pre-arrival interviews and testing either inperson in your country or by Skype or QQ to ensure that you take the most advantage of the courses offered here at Fairmont. The IFC staff will work in conjunction with all Fairmont teachers and academic advisors to give direction and advice to our international students so they do not miss valuable academic and recreational opportunities. Orientation International students will take part in the regular orientation activities for all Fairmont Private Schools students. However, the IFC will organize a special orientation for international students including important information sessions as well as fun activities to help students get acquainted from day one. Day-to-Day Support Studying in another country, for any student, is very difficult. The IFC office is the information point for all international students. Our staff is on hand to help students communicate with teachers, Fairmont administrators, college counselors, and their host families about their day-to-day concerns. College Counseling The IFC staff will also make sure to encourage students to establish a strong relationship with the college counselors in the College Counseling Center located on the campus of the Fairmont Preparatory Academy. The Fairmont College Counselors offer more than 100 years combined experience in college and university counseling. If you work hard, our counselors will make sure to put you on track to get into the university of your dreams! Progress Reports The IFC staff will send periodic progress reports back to each student���s parents so that parents are aware of how their son or daughter is performing both academically and socially at Fairmont Private Schools.
