OPERATION CANDY In October, students from our Historic Anaheim and North Tustin Campuses collected Halloween candy to send to troops stationed overseas through a program called Operation Gratitude. The Halloween candy is added to care packages for the soldiers to help them feel more connected to home. Our generous students brought in candy they collected Trick or Treating and created handmade cards. This "sweet" gesture let the troops know our Fairmont students truly appreciate them. Students Help Feed the Homeless in OC PB & J to the rescue. When Fairmont Prep received an emergency call from Share Our Selves (SOS) in Costa Mesa asking if our students would help make 500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to help feed the homeless, the answer was "absolutely, no problem." Twenty students gathered at Fairmont Prep after school and in 1.5 hours made 500 sandwiches. Not only did they have fun working together, but they also helped a wonderful organization.
