Athletics Fairmont���s small student body and extensive number of sports teams often give students the opportunity to participate on the team of their choice and even to play on more than one team each year. Elementary and Junior High Sports Fairmont offers a comprehensive sports program that gives young athletes the opportunity to compete among themselves and with other schools. Upper elementary students compete against other private schools in the Developmental Sports League (DSL), while junior high teams have a long history of divisional and Tri-Way League championships. Elementary DSL Sports (4th-6th Grades) The Developmental Sports League consists of eight private elementary schools within Orange County, such as Oakridge, Mission Hills, McDowell, and Heritage Oak. Fourth- through sixth-graders are eligible to play in this league.
