20th Consecutive year 1st Place Orange County Academic Pentathlon Including In 2012, President Obama awarded 37 Fairmont Preparatory Academy students with the President���s Volunteer Service Award (honoring young adults who volunteer 100-250+ hours in a 12-month period). Total 2012 Pentathlon Awards = WASC Accreditation In March 2012, Fairmont Private Schools Anaheim Hills, Historic Anaheim, and Historic Anaheim Preschool campuses earned preliminary accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The three campuses received the longest possible accreditation period and will carry accreditation through June 30, 2014. All five Fairmont campuses and Fairmont���s international language learning program are now WASC accredited, ensuring that they meet or exceed all expectations set forth by WASC. University of Arizona Offers Credit for Fairmont Preparatory Academy Engineering Course In May 2012, Fairmont Preparatory Academy announced a partnership with the University of Arizona to offer its Engineering Magnet students a new university-level engineering course, which will earn students credit on both a Fairmont and University of Arizona transcript. This partnership supplements Fairmont���s long-time partnership with California State University, Fullerton, which allows Fairmont students to earn up to 22 semester units of university credit solely by taking advanced math courses at Fairmont. Both partnerships speak to the high caliber of courses offered at Fairmont, which universities deem equivalent to their own math and engineering courses. Lubna received a 1st Place Claire Hsu (North Tustin Campus) was one of 300 middle school students nation-wide chosen as a Broadcom MASTERS semifinalist in August 2012. The Broadcom MASTERS���, a program of the Society for Science & the Public (SSP), is the premier competition for sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders to demonstrate mastery of math, applied science, technology, and engineering as rising stars through science fair competitions. Students are invited to compete for prizes and awards in the Broadcom MASTERS by entering their science projects at local SSP affiliate fairs.
