Travel Week In our global society, we believe students should have the opportunity to travel and explore our world. Travel experiences are integrated into our curriculum as early as junior kindergarten to help students truly engage with what they are learning. As our students grow, they have the opportunity to participate in Travel Week and extended overnight field trips to locations like Sacramento, the Grand Canyon, and Washington, D.C. In high school, Travel/Project Week takes place in January the week after Winter Break. Our annual International Travel Week offers students a variety of opportunities to contribute to our global society. Service-based travel experiences coordinated by Rustic Pathways are often transformative for Fairmont students as they volunteer their time to build sustainable communities domestically and internationally. Recent international destinations include: Austria, China, Costa Rica, Fiji, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom 29 | www.fairmontschools.com
